Imaging of Intracranial Saccular Aneurysms

Vascular imaging is an essential tool to appropriately diagnose and treat intracranial saccular aneurysms. There extensive heterogeneity in aneurysm characteristics including location, size, shape, patient demographics, clinical status that leads a great diversity both surgical endovascular treatment options. This variability may elicit confusion when deciding the most appropriate paradigm for individual at particular time points. A collection of pre‐ posttreatment scales grades exist, but there no current consensus on which one implement. In this review, we discuss key advantages disadvantages available modalities how each can guide management. We also review novel tools are likely alter diagnostic landscape aneurysms coming years.
